Week 19 Wing Wang by David Hy

I set off to town to get some supplies for the Wing Wang jungle. Home to the Wing Wang is a mysterious orange and bright green creature. As I got closer to town, I noticed there were no cars or people and although it was Saturday nothing was opened. The explorer shop wasn’t open, the supermarket wasn’t open and old man Joe wasn’t selling the newspaper. The town was deserted. I decided to set off anyway. After an hour or so of walking, I realised something strange about the jungle. There were no animals and every now and then I heard a groaning noise so I decided to turn back but there was a problem. There was a wing wang right behind me. I managed to dodge him and run back to my house.

  1. Hi David
I love your great name for the jungle – the Wing Wang Jungle! When you mentioned the mysterious orange and bright green creature my curiosity was aroused and I wondered what kind of creature this actually was. You used this week’s prompt really well fitting it in perfectly with your story. I suspected at the end that maybe the wing wang creature mightn’t be all that pleasant as when you found one behind you at the end of your 100 word challenge you had to dodge it and run back to your house. Your writing certainly got me thinking this week. Well done and keep up the good work.
